This is a great book. The cover says "This paperback edition includes significant changes and additions," so even if you've read the hardcover version (and liked it), it may be worth your time to hunt for this book. I haven't read the hardcover version yet, but I'm pretty sure one of the additions includes an "interruption" - a 50 page essay about the inaccuracies of the book - by Hand. It reveals a lot of surprising information, and because it comes right in the middle of the story (in this edition it starts on page 250), it completely changes how one reads the second half of the book. A gimmick, maybe, but one I've never heard of before, and it really did add depth and heighten my enjoyment of the novel.
