2nd book in the series.
I really like Roe, and I like Harris's writing style, and this was a very good story. Before this, I'd read the third and first books in the series, in that order, so it took me a while to get oriented as to where Roe's life (her love life in particular) was at. But now I think I'm good to continue on with the fourth book in the series.
I did take off points for this story not having much in the way of actual sleuthing. And I must admit a certain disappointment in the lack of detailed information about the skull, but that was mostly the forensic anthropology student in me, thinking I could certainly tell sex, race, and approximate age just from the skull. :-)
I'm passing this along to innae, in celebration of our North American Book Chain handoff meeting in Denver.

YEAH!!! a surprise book from stinalyn!
I will add this to Mt. TBR, I really do hope one day to whittle the mountain down to something more manageable, like a hill...

I am clearing out books from Mt TBR -- if I don't immediately (or even after a second or two) think "Oh, I want to read this" I am letting it go.

You're NOT a terrible pen pal, but a great one - it's quality that counts, not quantity! Looking forward to reading this series, and even though this is not the first one, I've already started reading it, and it's been a fun romp so far...
Will update!

I have generally enjoyed this author’s other books, and I found this one fun and readable. But? The mystery? Maybe I missed something but the resolution seemed based ENTIRELY on coincidence, with nearly no input from the protagonist. Strange. FWIW I like her voice/life/details. I have another in the series and will definitively read it. Light, easy reading.
