another great book by Robert Goddard. He has a great talent in combining suspense, crime and interaction between his protagonists to very captivating stories full of surprises.

the story hooked me slowly. i put it down once, but decided to give it a further chance and continued reading it this morning. and mind you, i couldn't put it down until the end! the story was well crafted and had many twists! those who love history will surely adore this book, although to me to the contrary slowed my reading pace and interest at first. i didn't quite understand the ending though, well that probably has something to do with me skipping/skimming past most of the historical part, oh well.

would surely try another of this author's work. i hope the next one will be less historical though

Friday, November 06, 2015 - Finally finished up the book! Wonderful and thrilling journey led by Goddard. The book carefully illustrates the secret bounded in the family history, and slowly reveals the intricate plot twist. Great book overall, with a teeny bit of boring prologue.
