Forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan is propelled from north to south when a nine-year-old girl is brutally shot on a Montreal street and the remains of a missing North Carolina teenager are found hundreds of miles away. The connection between the crimes leads Brennan into a bizarre culture of outlaw motorcycle gangs, where one misstep can bring disaster.

A good page turner, but it has a flaw--my pet peeve--excessive advertising: I don't want to know what brand of breakfast cereal you shared with the cat. Just say breakfast cereal.

I guess it's because I live in Europe where it happens less (but increasingly often), or perhaps because my father was an advertiser, but it jumps out at me and not in a good way.

This book was in the EU/UK Mystery/Thriller/Crime VBB.

Off it goes to France, to the Loire Valley... *sigh* (Moi aussi, s'il te plaît!)

The book was waiting for me with my husband as I was on the seashore by the Mouth of the Loire with my chidren and grandchildren during the springbreak. ;)
