Saved from a dead lady's library - a perfect place for a thriller to emerge... But it's no laughing matter when the remaining family is ready to through all books to a dumpyard. Perhaps I ought to write it down in my will: "The money - if there is any - goes to the person who sees that all books get loving homes..."
Haven't read this one, but it is looking for a nice reader.

Thank you kirjakko for this book. I'm also sorry for missed the Gothenburg BC-convent. Life doesn't give us all we want.

Backside: His name was Feliks. He came to London to commit a murder that would change history. He had many weapons at his command, but the most dangerous were the love of a beautiful young woman longing for the end of innocence, and the passion of a high-born lady demanding satisfaction at any price. Against him were ranged the whole of the English police, a powerful lord, and the young Winston Churchill himself. These odds would have stopped any man in the world except the man from st. Petersburg.

I like Ken Folletts way to write and that there are so many facts in the novel. There is so much historical events and everything around. Women who fought for suffrage in England and England who wanted the Russians on their side if there was a war. Amidst all this, the story of the aristocrat and his family, who had very close ties to Russia. The novel takes place before the First World War and I found it very readable
