The front cover's slightly different, but who cares :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! =) This has been a great birthday, but I think my bookshelf will start complaining soon. =D
I'm almost finished with the last year's birthday books and just in time because my birthday is coming in May again. =D This is the first time I have read any of McDermid's books and I enjoyed this crime novel. I liked the themes in Blue Genes, even though some topics made me a bit uneasy... The life of Kate seemed nicely real in a way and I enjoyed the different characters. But now I miss Manchester again!
Going to the winner of the International Tea & Mystery/Crime/Thriller sweepstake. Congrats!
Received, and it seems quite interesting. Thanks for sending it to me, Slipperbunny; I hope I'll like it just as much as you did!! :)
Currently reading it... and about time!
I looked for it in my shelves as I recently read another novel by this writer, and enjoyed it. :)

Well, I must confess that I have mixed feelings, maybe too many subplots for my taste...
I enjoyed the genetic aspect, most interesting, and the gravestone scam was resolved swift and neatly; however, the "flyposting" scheme was not very clear to me. Too many characters intertwined...
I like the main character a lot, and I look forward to reading more novels by this writer...
Thanks for sharing, slipperbunny; I have already got a new home for this one.
