As a fourth grade teacher, I teach Oregon history. This book was given to me by a parent in my class. It's about the stagecoaches that delivered mail, gold, and people up and down the "Big Road" until the railroad went in. It focuses on the trip between the Oregon/California border and Eugene City. I found it easy to read and full of interesting information. It inspired me to search out other books written by Gary Meier.
