Got this for a discussion group at OFB, but I wasn't able to attend the discussion. I'm reading it anyway.

This is a scary and depressing tale, all the more so because so much of it is already part of our daily lives. The future is here, and it is quite likely to end us.

I have several friends who have expressed interest in reading this, so I am starting it on a bookray.

Brian & Tina have both read this, and it has now come back to me. I have a few other friends who might want to read it, so it is only kinda-sorta available at the moment.

I will be starting this on a bookring. Or maybe more of a book-figure-eight. After 365toread and perhaps another friend read it and it comes back to me, I'm planning to send this to my brother for him to read with my nieces.

'Caught' this book from a friend, but had to finish a library book first. So now I have finally started reading it...

May 24 - Finished the book and although it was a pretty good page-turner, I still don't know how I feel about it. I have handed it off to my 16 yr. old daughter to read and we will discuss afterwards and see how I feel about it then.

May 29 - Daughter and I just had a great discussion about the book. She was telling me how much the media is involved in school and the School (TM) was so funny to her. She thought it was a really great book, very relevant, very scary and eye-opening. She'll be thinking on it for a long time. I agree that it makes you more aware of media influence and consumerism. It's not a happy tale, but one worth reading.
