I had always been a little daunted by this book. It is as famous as Great Expectations which I never finished as I couldn't get along with it. Having said that I had no trouble with other classics such as Emma and The Moonstone.
Having read the first two chapters I found that I couldn't put WH down. It is a cleverly written and compelling story. However, I could not bring myself to like many of the characters, particuarlly the two protaganists (Heathcliffe and Cathy). The characters were very well portrayed though and their personalities made known to the reader almost as if you had met them. I felt the end was a little strange though. It didn't seem to satisfy the story. Overall though, this is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm not sure right now where I'm going to leave the book. Probably somewhere inside like one of the cafes. I think the weather's going to be pretty wild tomorrow which suits the mood of the book.
