A very good book! This is the description from amazon:
Drawing from decades of work, travel, and research in Russia, Robert Alexander re-creates the tragic, perennially fascinating story of the final days of Nicholas and Alexandra as seen through the eyes of the Romanovs’ young kitchen boy, Leonka. Now an ancient Russian immigrant, Leonka claims to be the last living witness to the Romanovs’ brutal murders and sets down the dark secrets of his past with the imperial family. Does he hold the key to the many questions surrounding the family’s murder? Historically vivid and compelling, The Kitchen Boy is also a touching portrait of a loving family that was in many ways similar, yet so different, from any other.
I loved this book, it had me on the edge of my seat at times and it was very emotional. It gave a different perspective of the Romanov family and their last days. I am happy to pass it along.

I started this book a long time ago but just couldn't seem to continue. Now, I picked it up determined to get it finished. It was an interesting story of the Romanov Tsar and his family in their last days. The hardships they endured. It was amazing to me the amount of wealth that they had and that the Red army didn't take it all away from them. Those were brutal times with so many executions and mass murders. The end of the story came as a surprise to me. A good historical story!!
Released to iwillrejoice as a wishlist tag. Enjoy!!
