I hope you enjoy the book. You have no obligations other than enjoying the book, but if you'd care to leave a message about the book or where it might be headed to next we'd love to hear. You don't need to join Bookcrossing, you can stay anonymous, and there are no strings attached.

I like Frost, not so much Sands. This seemed to me like Frost wrote a book that was too short so they added the Sands story. Why hardbound? Found the book in the remainders and it was only 2 months old. If you like Cat and Bones you'll like this Frost story. Otherwise no big deal.

Off to Washington state. Hope you stick with the series this far. Or at least have fun with the books.

This arrived in the mail today. I'm looking forward to starting this series. Probably will take me a little bit to get started in it, as I'm going on vacation next week (to Tucson) and like to take books that I'm ok wild releasing. Will probably start the first one after I get back.

To help ensure that things run smoothly (or that is the plananyhow), I've put together a few rough guidelines for this one. I know that some people take longer to read a book (busy, got a bunchof books to read before, work, kids, etc)...
1. Please try to have this book read within 3 weeks. I know thisisn't possible, but if you make an effort to try that is all I can ask.
2. Please journal when you receive the book.
3. When about halfway through, please contact the next person on the list for their mailing address.
4. Please journal again when you've read the book and it is on its way.
5. Have fun! Reading is supposed to be fun!

Arrived today and looking forward to both stories in this book - Lynsey Sands is another favorite author.

Journal Entry 7 by wingAramenawing at Moore, Oklahoma USA on Wednesday, January 30, 2013
I've read most of Sands' Argeneau books - and one of her historical romances - and I love her writing. Her story here, however, while enjoyable, was also a little boring, a little slow, a little same old same old. Fun but nothing special.

The Cat and Bones story on the other hand - I loved it. I can't get enough of them and Frost has not disappointed me yet.

My full review is on my blog.

I'll hopefully get this off to carelaisa by the weekend - I have another book I want to also send her that's on her wish list so I'm reading it now.

The first story was an okay read, having read in the past one novel in the Argenau series. But it didn’t catch much my attention, like the story with Cat & Bones, which is the second story, Home for the Holidays. This story was more fun to read, it was filled with action and fun, as well some more details about Bones’ past. I truly enjoyed more this story than the one by Lynsay Sands, I’m definitely liking more and more the books written by Jeaniene Frost and can’t wait to read the next one!

EDIT: The book is now travelling to the next reader as of March 13th!

I enjoyed the book, as always. The first story was entertaining, a first for me by this author. The second was great- as Bones and Cat's stories always are. Sending on to next reader, along with One Grave at a Time. Once again, thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for sending - this and another arrived here today. Footymadgill says she has a few rings there already, and I have one to send her, so maybe I'll read this (and the other one that came in with it) and send all the books together. That would give her time to catch up.
Thank you for making all these great books available.

Two novellas- The Gift, by Lynsay Sands seemed a bit sappy - and I found myself continually thrown off balance. For me, Teddy is a little kid's name, not someone nearing retirement, so already that took some adjustment. Then the mundane-ness and full acceptance of the paranormals... Cute but not memorable.
The Jeaniene Frost story, which is why the book came to me as part of the spiral was great. A story with Bones and Menchere et al practically powerless? Great read which led me to go to bed (or turn off the light) far too late.
Now I'll be sending all three which had arrived on to the next in line. Thanks so0 much for making them available!

The Gift - this story never really hooked me...I plodded through.

Home for the Holidays - had me hooked from the beginning. Another great story from Jeaniene Frost.

I feel like tutting to myself over and over again. I knew I should've waited a bit longer before sending the previous two books but I didn't and now I'm cursing myself. Trust me to finish a book that could've been sent with them, the day after I've sent them. It's my own fault really. Anyhow, I will send this book soon.

Two stories in this book. The Cat & Bones story was long enough to have been put into a full novel, as it's more of a full length novel than a short story (sorry the creative writing lectures have really pointed these things out to me, as I'm a 2nd year Creative Writing & Journalism Student).

So let's start off with the first short story The Gift - Lynsay Sands. Before now I had never heard of Lynsay Sands, let alone the Argeneau series in which this short story accompanies. Yet I was drawn in and was given the appropriate information needed to understand why this series is unique and not like all the typical vampire novels that are easily found.

However I did find that many names cropped up who I didn't know, and it would have been fine for the people who have read the series, but since I haven't, I had no idea who they were talking about. On the other hand, the writing was pretty strong in most places, keeping me entertained and enthralled in this short story, enough to know that this is a series I may like to read one day. 8/10

The second story is Home For The Holidays - Jeaniene Frost. I was excited to return to Cat & Bones' world, but this story really stood out as my attention was always involved in the story and never wavered. This is the magic of Jeaniene Frost, she easily captures me in her words.

The story was full of everything I wanted and I couldn't fault it at all. There were quite a few surprises that I didn't expect at all, and I felt like a part of the story right from the start. But could that be due to Jeaniene Frost's amazing writing? Or was it because these are characters I've loved from beginning to end?

The only thing that I felt was disappointing was there were no mention of Vlad (AKA Dracula), yeah he was referenced but no one said his name and made me question where he was. Also Elizabeth was not around, she was always referred to as Fabian's Girlfriend, and she only appeared once really.

But none of that really mattered, as it was gripping, and just entertaining as a whole.10/10

Overall I enjoyed this, and although it's almost 2 months until Christmas (is it really that close?), it brought the Christmas spirit out of me :)
