Thanks for the nice chat over coffee and the book! I think it's high time for some light-hearted chick lit, as I've done thrillers, biographies and apocalypse novels lately...

To be totally honest, I did not have the time of my (reading) life with this Ahern. I was so frustrated with the storyline, that I almost stopped reading before hitting the second chapter. I found the book mostly annoying and felt like I was strongly underestimated as a reader. Even though I've really liked Cecelia's early works, I've started getting very irritated by her latest work. The books have been so Aesopos-like, offering moral advice that no-one's asked for when all they're looking for is entertainment...

Ooopppss sorry I've forgotten to journal this book.
It's now back with me, awaiting future adventures!

Remembered seeing the book on a certain wishlist, so I grabbed the book from Luckan! Will be forwarding it to another reader in another town soon...

Btw, it seems like someone has been reading the book while in Luckan, as the cover shows some wear and tear!

What a surprise from the girls of Turku :)! Thanks so much, I was thrilled to receive this wishlist book at our BC Christmas party tonight.

It is just great to finally get this cleared out of the my oldest TBR pile. I have had a massively long break in reading books by Ahern so it was sweet to return to her fairytalish world.

I liked Lucy even though she was pretty childish from time to time. And it was not a bad life lesson to remember to put yourself first to protect your own wellbeing.

Thanks for this cheer up! Fantastic that this book can still be found on a familiar wishlist.
