This book is a light and fun read. Though Derik did get on my nerves a bit - he was just a bit too thick/dumb. I really liked Sara and would like to read more about her in future books.

Fun, light reading - I liked the action between Derik and Sara. As always with MaryJanice Davidson, there's plenty of humor - I'm not sure anyone else could pull off a funny attempted murder!
I try never to start in the middle of a series but it looks like I did. However, I found out this is the first novel in the series but the third installment (the others were novellas in anthologies) Will be on the look out for more.

My Review: This is a great book! I really enjoy this author. Her combination of humor, romance, and fun characters is great. I love the Queen Betsy, Undead series, too.
