101 Uses for a Dead Cat
5 journalers for this copy...
There was a thrift store next door to the restaurant where the last meet-up was held -- paperbacks were 8/$1. I bought a lot, including this one. I LOVE cats, but this book cracked me up! When I saw the note in the back that the author is violently allergic to cats, it even made sense (although an allergic person would probably be just as allergic to a dead cat, since the main root of the allergies is the hair/skin/dander). Some of the uses are just odd (wall art? oven mitts? pencil sharpener) but some were totatlly inspired: the cat-tongue match-striker; the 9 dead cats of 9 tails; the cat-claw saw. Since I loved it, I think other cat lovers will too, so I will save it for the cat-themed book box I signed up for.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This book sounds morbid, but is actually hilarious. I think my kitty even laughed at least once. Going into Mary Zee's Cat Book Box.
Saw on the kitty book box, and laughed my way thru these dead cat uses while waiting for the address of the next on queue - so it can and will continue its journeys after my quick laughs and quick comments here. :)
My favorite two uses on this would probably be as a bumper on the side of a boat, or as a cat-padded room in an asylum. But at least the latter would work much, much better with live cats :) (a perfect place for a kitty nut human?)

This came home in my Cat bookbox today. I was trying to remember whether I'd ever read this, and look what my search turned up - Cat's Revenge: More than 101 uses for Dead People (lol!) Thanks for sharing, 6of8!
Sadly, MaryZee passed suddenly in September 2012. MaryZee's daughter is now ready to rehome her mom's books and I was willing to collect and redistribute them to keep her literary legacy alive.

Arrived home with the other Animals!! Another MaryZee gem, I will likely send this on to a friend in Pittsburgh...she loves cats, but also has a morbid sense of humor. She is sadly not a BCer so she will likely not journal, but ---
