Paperback edition with 48 pages.

Sally Sanders is good at everything she does, or so it seems. Secretly she is afraid that if she can't do something well, or be the best, she will feel like a failure. She is scared that she is not "good enough." As a perfectionist, hitting the wrong note at a piano recital, or not making the soccer team feels like the end of the world! Gradually, through the help of her teachers and mother, Sally learns to have fun and not worry so much about being the best. She realizes that making mistakes is a part of learning, and that doing her best is good enough.

Thank you, hakkalina, for the wonderful gifts you sent me for Christmas. The Christmas ornament (fits very well to the other one you sent me last year!), the Christmas card, this wonderful book and the chocolate.
Chocolate? Well, before I even could say the word, it was already devided in three equal heaps and ... then it was gone. Delicious, thank you for everything my friend!

Lovely little book.
I think it is great that an author writes about uncertainty, perfectionism, how (some)children see themselves. It may be a great help to let children who suffer from perfectionism or the thought that they aren't worth anything, who are afraid to make mistakes see, that making mistakes, not getting straight A's, being different is not so bad at all.

I just finished reading this book today. I recognise myself in Sally, as I used to be just like that. Everything had to be perfect. It was my way, or no way and I had to get the best grades no matter how long I stayed up at night studying or doing project work. I'm not like that any more, thank goodness. All work--no play = not good!
No one has to be perfect, and I hope that no parents expect their children to be perfect either.

Hallo daar, gelukkige vinder!
