A Season for the Dead

This is an Advanced Reading Copy. As long as you don't need the book for quotations and don't mind the odd editing mistake, this book is for you!
I totally think that passing this book around is just better than wasting the paper that ARC's are printed on... and I like being a part of the book's "start in life". :)
A murder mystery at the Vatican that leads to the discovery of more victims. As the case is being solved, hidden messages become clearer to reveal devistating truths.
Im actually reading this book right now!

This book took me a little bit longer to read.
There is a thrilling plot involving Vatican conspiracies and a serial killer on the loose... but at the heart of this story is a sweet end-of-life journey that is taking place. One of the cops on the case, Nic is trying to solve the murders before any more occur while struggling with the disease that is ending his father's life. Both father and son slowly find ways to "air" their worries and come to terms with life. Its very heartwarming. It sure makes a nice switch from the graphic and brutal murders that take place as the central theme.
This book, part "the DaVinci Code" and part "Tuesday's With Morrie" was surprisingly good... and I took my time reading it because I didn't want to miss a thing. :)
Definately recommended, I am reserving this for my family to read before I pass it along through BC. :D
