Book 1 of The Pendragon Cycle. From the back cover:

This is one of those books that I'd been meaning to get hold of for ages (I love fantasy and Arthurian sagas) but that, when I eventually got it, I was disappointed by. Possibly my high expectations were at fault, but this really didn't do it for me. I haven't sought out the sequels.
But, plenty of other readers like this book, so don't let me put you off! It'd be great if it could find a more appreciative reader through BookCrossing.
