I bought this from a book store sale because I had recently read the previous Cannie Shapiro book Good in Bed and quite liked it.

I liked how the story flows in this book and also liked having two viewpoint characters. "A really nice, light read", I thought - until I reached the end of the book. The ending is horrible! The author does something really nasty in chapter 37, so I recommend that you stop reading when you reach the end of chapter 36. It's a shame, because up until that point I really liked the book. I find the ending to be totally unnecessary.

I also have to say that I find it a bit unbelievable and disheartening to find out what has become of Cannie. She was such a great character but in this book she's often an idiot.

I'll take the book with me to the Helsinki area bc meetup at the Sokos department store cafe.

Thanks Silkki, this one has been on my wishlist for a while. I love Jennifer Weiner's books.

But, as usual, it'll go to my bookshelf for "a while".

I've found a Finnish edition, so I'll rather read that one. But thanks anyway! I'll release the book somehow during the summer.

I started reading this and couldn't decide whether I should go back and read "Good in Bed" which it is the sequel to.

As this book is the story ten or so years after the first book, which is a similar time span to my having read it I decided not to. There are sufficient references to the "back story" for it not to matter. I think you could happily read this without having read the first.

I took it with me on holiday and read it in the Tenerife sunshine before leaving at the book exchange in the hotel's pool area.
