Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch
14 journalers for this copy...
I went to the library book sale in October and picked up books I really didn't need and yet, NEEDED all the same
I have pondered the idea of doing a Crime Scene bookbox. With books about crime scenes, and I could include some crime scene tape, and maybe a few other things from work (yep, I be a CSI!!) -- anyway, I saw a couple books at the book sale I thought would work -- this being one of them. :-)

Headed out in my Crime Scene bookbox
This arrived BACK home in my Crime Scene bookbox....ahhh, no love for this little Harlequin. I may save this for another Crime Scene bookbox :-)
This book will head out with the Crime Scene Bookbox once again - -this time as the official JOURNAL book -- If anyone REALLY wants it, let me know, and when the box comes home I will send it to you. :-)

The Crime Scene bookbox arrived safely today - many thanks! (I had to laugh at the juxtaposition of "Harlequin" and "crime scene" in this book - though it has quite a dramatic opening!) Will try and get the box moving again soon. Oh, and I love the crime-scene-tape packing material!
There are 22 books in the box, plus this bookbox-journal book.
I'm taking out:
Dead Meat
Bloodborn
Dearly Devoted Dexter
Partners in Crime
Mind Prey
Jack & Jill
F is for Fugitive
The Empty Chair
Music of the Spheres

I glanced through this book but decided not to try and read it before sending the box out. I've made my choices, and have put in the following:
Non-fiction:
Forensic Detective
Working Stiff: Two Years, 262 Bodies, and the Making of a Medical Examiner
Teasing Secrets From the Dead: My Investigations at America's Most Infamous Crime Scenes
Murder Next Door
Fiction:
Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations (manga about a DA who sometimes investigates crimes)
Ghosts of Manhattan (steampunk tale of vigilante and police detective investigating killings)
D'Shai (fantasy novel featuring a juggler investigating a murder that was meant for him)
Blood, Snow and Classic Cars (an anthology of mysteries, including one featuring insurance-investigator/crime-solver Dave Brandstetter)
Point of Hopes (fantasy novel with "pointsmen" as the official police detectives)
The box will go in the mail on Monday. Hope it travels safely!

It arrived today and I'll make my choices over the Labor Day Weekend. Thanks for including me.
I have made my decision. PM sent to eponine38.
I'm sorry...received this on the 13th...it has been a busy week and this slipped my mind. When I returned home to find it sitting on my porch in the pouring rain, I feared the worst. Never was I so glad to see all the books enclosed in a big trash bag!!
I will make my choices shortly (should be easy, since I haven't read much of anything to contribute) :-(

Night of the Werecat
Putting in:

Sorry for delay, I was on vacation and it must have come right after we left because there was spider web with spider attached between box and wall!
Anyhoo, the box the books came in is too small for me to add the books I have. I'm going to find a larger box to put them in.

Congratulations!! You have found a rare and unique gift, a travelling book!!
While it is possible I have read and given my thoughts on this book, it is more likely it is a book I found/purchased specifically to send out into the world! In either case, please read what has been said before, where has this book been, who enjoyed it, who didn't -- and perhaps, if you care to, you can add your two cents!
You do not have to join bookcrossing to pick up, enjoy, and journal a book -- however, if you do decide to join us, please consider using me (innae) as your recommending friend, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to drop me a personal message (for more info, check out the FAQ).
And again, thank you for saving this book from a life of boredom!
