Finished this book ages ago and forgot to make a journal entry!
I loved this book. I loved Beth. She was intelligent and interesting, but she had her flaws. I enjoyed the time period and the setting. Most stories I read about WWII take place in Europe; I've never before read a book during that time that takes place near where I grew up. Very eye opening to learn the effects of the war in a place so far away.
