I picked this up from the telephone box library-cum-book exchange in the nearby village of Marton-cum-Grafton this afternoon when I dropped off a couple of books to find new readers. I chose it because I've sort-of enjoyed two of her books previously,
A Place Called Here and If You Could See Me Now, but only 'sort-of' because they do have a rather strange quality about them that I haven't always followed! I like that they have a fairly tale feel to them and understand from the back cover that this is no exception.

Amazon Product Description: "Tamara Goodwin has always got everything she's ever wanted. Born into a family of wealth, she grew up in a mansion with its own private beach, a wardrobe full of designer clothes and all that a girl could ever wish for. She's always lived in the here and now, never giving a second thought to tomorrow. But then suddenly her dad is gone and life for Tamara and her mother changes forever. Left with a mountain of debt, they have no choice but to sell everything they own and move to the country. Nestled next to Kilsaney Castle, their gatehouse is a world away from Tamara's childhood. With her mother shut away with grief, and her aunt busy tending to her, Tamara is lonely and bored and longs to return to Dublin. When a travelling library passes through Kilsaney Demesne, Tamara is intrigued. Her eyes rest on a mysterious large leather bound tome locked with a gold clasp and padlock. What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core. "

I'm feeling overwhelmed by the number of books I have hanging around the house waiting to be read. I've identified some that maybe don't seem as appealing now as when I first acquired them, moving them on to find new readers, hopefully ones that'll actually get around to picking them up sooner than I would!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Left on the bookswap shelves in this delightful cafe!

Over a million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 well over 9 million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!
Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't cost anything and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!
