Ahab's Wife: Or, the Star-Gazer: A Novel

This was a very enjoyable book. It had a mixture of all the things I like to read. Of course ship wrecks, voyages, star gazing, advancement of women and blacks...all around the theme of Moby Dick. Una (the heroine) had an impossibly exciting life starting when she went to live with her Aunt, Uncle and young cousin at a secluded light house. She got bored with that and one thing led to another...Next thing you know she's married to Ahab, captain of the Pequod. (Because of the title of the book, I don't think I'm giving much away.) I'm looking forward to reading Sena Jeter Naslund's new book when it's out in paperback.
I am lending this book to a few friends before it gets released to wild.
