This is my favorite of the Bookman series. It's #5 in the series, but is quite unlike the earlier books, & not at all dependent on them. Duplicate book.
Well, nobody picked him, so I'm sending him to a friend for a Christmas/Get Well Soon/Happy Moving RABCK. :-D

☺ Happy Traveling, Book! ☺
This book was among the generous boxes-o-books that BCer tobysrus brought me on this very hot day, as part of her downsizing/decluttering efforts. (Wave to the previous journalers!) I've enjoyed some of Dunning's other "Bookman" novels; will see how I like this one.
Later: Not as much fun as the previous books, IMO, in part because of the shift in focus from books to racehorses. Not that I don't like reading about horses, but the racing industry can be brutal... Anyway, the crime itself leads to mania and book-hoarding and forgery and murder - but I found it all rather heavy-handed and depressing rather than suspenseful. Ah, well!
