Im really enjoying this series. I love Hamish Macbeth with his sarcastic tongue. Im trying to limit myself to only reading one of these books a month, so they last longer - its not working and i cant wait to read the next!

Thank you for this wishlist book, well....TWO wishlist books actually, some teabags and the most beautiful bookmark/placeholder. I'm glad you put it on the book, as now I know where the beads go....down the spine. It's great! Like you, I love these books, and I don't read them very often because I want to make them last! Silly aren't we?!! Anyway I'm going to save these two books for special occasions, before I read them!
This was very generous of you.

I was sorry when I came to the end of this book as I was enjoying it so much.
Imagine living in a little village in Scotland where roses tumble over garden fences, sweet peas flutter in the faintest of breezes. Bell Heather on the mountains that blossoms in June in deepest pink. Where there is no crime, no battered wives, and not a single drunk to lock up for the night. Some people thought the police station should be closed down! I almost wanted to live there until the mention of midges came up. I don't think I could live with those midges. It is bad enough in The Netherlands with mosquitoes at night! Anyway, this sleepy little village suddenly had a murder to contend with. Who did it? Whoever would have thought the village policeman, Hamish Macbeth, could have solved this crime!.....But he did!! I loved it. It was a slow story, but that was ok by me.
