This collection of short stories is well worth reading, but I didn't enjoy it as much as any of Kate Atkinson's full length novels. One of the author's best talents is her ability to bring her characters to life. By the end of each of the books I felt that I had made and lost new friends, but within the short stories the characters did not have the chance to develop that far.
