A Bill Bryson style book about the London Monopoly board. Silly in places but some interesting facts and figures... I grew up with French Monopoly (my parents having lived in Paris before we were born) so although I played, this didn't have quite the same resonance for me.

14 Feb 2012 - Finished this during my 2 weeks in London on my English-speaking vacation, and left it in the Shad Thames vacation rental flat. Amusing in parts, a little strained in others. I grew up with the classic Atlantic City board, so this also didn't really resonate with me either. The rental flat, though, actually had the old Monopoly board on which this was based, so I felt it was a nice fit.
