Amusing combination of humor and travel, as Tim Moore, a casual cyclist at best, attempts the route of the the toughest cycling race in the world, the Tour De France.
He struggles thorough, meets some interesting characters, cheats when necessary, (A Tour Tradition). He attempts some of the great climbs of the Tour, that fans will recognize and remember. Tells a lot of interesting stories from the early history of the tour, when it was a much less structured event, and not broadcast worldwide on TV.
A fun read if you're a Tour fan, or have watched it on TV in recent year.s
