Happy reading!
I received this in the mail on Tuesday or Wednesday while I was on vacation for the Thanksgiving holiday. Wow it got here fast! Hopefully yours will be just as speedy. It was shipped on Monday the 24th.
Thanks so much, this sounds like a real fun book. I can't wait to sink into it.

This book was awesome. I started reading it, and after the first 10 pages I had put it down because I thought Mary was just such a wimp. I picked it up a couple of days later and really started reading. Boy did this book pick up fast.
The transformation of Mary into Nina Zero was amazing. One day a good girl, the next day misfit punk without a care in the world. It almost made me want to chop off my hair and pierce my nose.
There was a quote toward the end of the book that I just thought summed up the definition of the person she became, "If he'd taught me how to ride the thing in the first place, or just stayed put, I never would have broken his other leg. ..." I just loved that.
This was such an interesting read that I think I'll offer it up as a small bookring. Thanks so much Felicia-fairy.

Looks good! Will get to this one next. Thanks for including me!
This was an OK read, but not one of my favorites. She totally does a complete turnaround...ummm, NO! It was an alright book, but I guess I was expecting something different. I will have to look into this author and see if maybe I have misjudged their work. I do agree with First-noel about the "If he'd taught me how to ride the thing in the first place, or just stayed put, I never would have broken his other leg. ..." That was funny! Who is next?!
Received today along with a great book marker and some yummy recipes from Jen, thanks Sweetie!! I will start on it today. I hope to have it in the mail by the end of the month.
WOW! I needed that. I thoroughly LOVED this book. It read like a Quentin Tarantino movie. Moved really fast with lots of action. I loved the fact that the author could write about the emotions of a woman so accurately. Most men who write books along these lines create women who are weak, dumb, or just loves to screw. I love Nina Zero. Surely, they will make a movie if this. I have already done the casting for them. Angelina Jolie as Nina. Jared Leto as Billyb. Harvey Kietel as the father. Would have to be directed by Tarantino ofcourse. Anyways, excellent read. I loved every minute of it. First Noel, I can't thank you enough for sharing this. I have been reading to many books by authors who take life way too seriously. I needed this. I will have it on its way to England first thing Monday morning.
The book was mailed to London this morning. I hope everyone else enjoys this book as much as I did.
Hello! I received this book in yesterday's mail... thank you so much! It looks like a lot of fun - I love the little cards in the book! I really like the art work on this book, it is so striking.
I have had four bookring books arrive all at once and I am really busy at work so I am not sure when I will finish the book. However, book ring books always take priority, and I love to read, so hopefully I will be able to get this moving again quickly. Whatever happens, I promise not to forget about it!

I thought this book was interestingly written and I am glad I had a chance to join the bookray. It was kind of like a mad Pulp Fiction, tearing around at a fast pace. My major problem with this book, though, was that our heroine was clearly too intelligent to have fallen for the trick pulled by her boyfriend at the beginning of the book. Because I had difficulty accepting that she could be so dumb then, but so switched on for the last 9/10ths of the book, I am unable to give this the fulsome praise it would otherwise deserve.
But yes, fantastic cover art!!
This book will be posted to the next member of the ray during the course of this week. Thanks again First-Noel!

Came in the mail today. Unfortunately, there is some sadness associated with this book. lim1bd's family contacted me in order to pass this book along and keep the ring moving despite her passing this spring.
I took a little bit of time to warm up to this story line.... thought the way it began was a bit far fetched but once I did, I loved it. I really liked how Mary and Nina Zero's character developed in this book. It was very interesting and I'm glad I hung in there until the end. Thanks to First-Noel for sharing this as a bookring with all of us. It's on its way home now. Plan to mail it tommorrow. Happy trails little book. Enjoy your trip home.
Released on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at another bookcrosser in a controlled release, n/a Controlled Releases.
This one has made it back safe and sound. My first successful bookring. Thanks everyone for participating, I have the third book of this trilogy, can't find the second yet. But the third was as good if not better than this one, email if you are interested and I may start another ring.
