"New York Times bestselling author Alexandra Robbins spent a year undercover with a group of sorority girls. Her worst expectations were met, and surpassed - extreme promiscuity, drugs, psychological abuse, racism, violence, and rampant eating disorders were just a few of the problems. But even more surprising was the fact that these abuses were inflicted and endured by intelligent, successful, and attractive young women."
Including this one in JennyC1230's Kitchen Sink Book Box. Happy travels.

"A book is a mysterious object, I said, and once it floats out into the world, anything can happen. All kinds of mischief can be caused, and there's not a damned thing you can do about it. For better or worse, it's completely out of your control."

your box made it here safely. I don't see this as the type of book that I will end up reading. But I will set it free into a local Little Free Library to hopefully find an appreciative reader.
I hadn't planned on reading this but then I read the introduction. As a non-traditional student who has been a member of two different honors/education fraternities I have always wondered about the draw of social sororities. When I was a freshman at Eastern Illinois University (which is mentioned several times in this book) I lived in the freshman dorm which was out by the Greek housing. I remember being horrified by the wildness, drinking, and partying going on over there every day of the week.
This was an interesting read. I could see where the author was trying to stay impartial, but by the end I could tell it was hard for her to do so.
