What a wonderful book to re-read as an adult. We read it in East Lansing, MI for the One Book, One Community project and enjoyed a community of conversation. This book is so amazingly prescient!
Trading Notes
I'm happy to trade this book for a Pulitzer/Nobel Prize Winner with no musty smell... I have an allergy to whatever causes that musty smell of older books...

Idahorticulture, your books just arrived five minutes ago, and I feel just great. Wow! I'm looking forward to stocking the OBCZ's of Nijmegen with all those excellent books. Thank you!
I hope you don't mind if I read some of them first... this one looks interesting and it has been recommended to me.

The book has been gone for a while because a friend borrowed it. I was hoping he'd make a journal entry, but he didn't. So I'm telling you: he loved it. And he said I should read it as well. So it stays TBR.
Guess what? I loved it, too! I can see why it's a classic. The writing is very lean and clean and the subject matter is thought provoking.
Will be released in an OBCZ soon. Thank you for sharing!

Took the book from the OBCZ maybe as long as two months ago. Finally now I get round to journalling it. From the other journal entries I can see I am in for a treat... Will report back after I've read it!
A lovely story. At first I thought it was just about books, but it isn´t. It´s about freedom of mind and it made me want to take a step back and see in what way I could be more free.
I´m writing this journal entry in Portugal where I am staying with my aunt and uncle. Overhere, spring has started and I am going on a bike trip this afternoon to celebrate its arrival. Will »free« this book on the way, because it deserves it.

We left it in front of the Bar do Choupal. There's a map of the woods with a little roof over it.
Choupal is a beautiful forest named after the poplars alongside the river Mondego.
