Thanks Waterfalling. I love travel writing (and remember hearing of this title before), so I think I'm going to add this one to my stacks.
This was a quick, enjoyable read. One story I found amusing was Internal Affairs by Colette O' Connor - who knew the French were such prudes about feminine problems/products? I enjoyed Deborah Chaney's All-Natural Herbal Girl, about her mis-adventures with seasickness. I enjoyed Ellen DeGeneres' tale of The Plane Truth - I love her sense of exaggeration and how she relates this tale, even though we've all been there. And I also enjoyed the title tale about the Burning Man festival. These stories were easy to read one more, then just one more, aww heck, just one more!
This book will soon be travelling to Rhonder, for the Wishlist Tag game. Enjoy, and thanks again to Waterfalling for sharing this.

Thank you, MaryZee, for tagging me!
This is a quick, fun read. Easy to read the short stories here & there. I was a little disappointed with the one by Ellen Degeneres which is the one I was most looking forward to ... maybe my expectations were too high lol!
Sending to jumpingin as requested from the Non-fiction VBB hosted for debbie4osu.
Thanks for choosing this book, hope you enjoy the stories!

Arrived safely today. Thanks very much!
I agree--this was a fun read. A few of my favourite stories were "What to Wear" (I pack like the author does), "Cultural Exposure" (which made me laugh out loud as I read it in the grocery store line-up) and "At a Loss for Words."
Sent to JennyC1230, who chose it from debbie4osu's nonfiction VBB. Enjoy!
Thanks for sending this to me from Debbie4OSU's Non-fiction VBB! I read the second one in this series and loved it: More Sand in My Bra . It looks like a great fun read! Thank you!
My Review: This book was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed reading these travel stories by women. We seem to have trouble with more things because we are women. My favorite story was the one by Ellen DeGeneres. I'm not a happy flyer, so her story really made me laugh. I'm not the only one who is a nervous flyer!

Arrived safely in NJ. While I am not a short story lover, I am really looking forward to this one. With Anne Lamott and Ellen DeGeneres listed, I know I will enjoy and chuckles throughout. =)
I cannot believe how fast I read this book! It was so funny that I kept saying, let me read one more. My favorite is Anne Lamott's "The Aunties" to which I can relate more than I will admit. So many laughs tucked inside this little book.

Thank you for the book and the beautiful stamps.
Not as funny as I expected.
As a Frenchwoman I specially disliked Internal Affairs : a lot of misunderstanding there. Perhaps the author had a problem with some dictionary ?
And yes our bras are "soutiens-gorges" but gorge is the neck or/and the bosom and why the word "brassiere" (french) would be more assertive ?

On its way to Lakrits who chose it on my bookshelf. Enjoy !
Arrived yesterday via mail from Icila. Thank you. I have started reading a few chapters and I do heed your warning - nothing funny at all so far....
Among the worst I have ever read. Most of the "authors" seems stuck in the "pee and poo"-age of about six years old... However, the absolutely most appalling is that one woman (yes woman!) write a "funny story" about the trafficking and modern day slavery that is the real horrible nightmarish daily life of young women/under aged girls in Thailand. How on earth can a western woman want to visit a slave market "just for fun"?! To sit there calmly, with western men, buying women to perform sexual acts for them?! Then to go back home to her cosy home and write a "funny story" about it is so way over the top! Talk about abusing the women/girls all over again! The women/girls that are daily degraded, raped, violated and used as slaves are to become "funny props" in this "author's" story. It is appalling beyond words. So utterly, utterly sad...

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
At Espresso House - Cityterminalen.
Found this book at Espresso House Café in Cityterminalen in Stockholm, Sweden, and read a couple of stories while having a cup of tea. The story by Ellen Degeneres was very much her, and I could hear her voice while reading it. However, I found several of the stories biased, ignorant and far from funny.
