I think to like a book you need to like the main character. He has the aspriation to suceed just likes to: cheat, take drugs, get cars, skip sections, drink alcohol and make poor plans. He is not my vision of a great explorer or someone I aspire to be. there is some interesting factoids on the tour though and it is occasionally entertaining.
