In this book, Mays takes the reader on an architectural or structural historical tour of Toronto. It's beautifully written, and even without having much familiarity with the city, I enjoyed reading it for a while...but in the end I was defeated by my lack of background knowledge. There were too many references I was unfamiliar with and too many places I couldn't conjure up an image of. Maybe if I knew Toronto better... :-)

I'm going to pass this book along now. I hope it finds it's way into the hands of someone who loves Toronto. I think it provides a unique view of the city.

This book is coming with me to our get together at the Park Theatre Cafe. If no one takes it home, it will stay on the shelf, patiently awaiting a new reader.

I picked this one off the shelf and I intend to bring it to Ottawa for my sister rednumbertwo. She travels to Toronto a bit and perhaps could release it there.

This book started its travels sometime in the past. It's no longer on my shelf! I hope that if someone finds it that they can let us know where it ended up.
