"A vampire killer with a Las Vegas beat, Candace Steele has risked everything to vanquish the forces of darkness – and to resist her own passionate desire for Ash, a dark and seductive vampire. But suddenly the stakes are raised. Candace has been attacked by a member of the Board, an ancient, powerful, and secret vampire sect with a vendetta against Ash. Now the only way she can save her life is to give herself to Ash – body and soul – and become a vampire.

Lusting for blood and starving for Ash’s embrace, Candace is pulled deeper and deeper into his world. She no longer trusts his promise that she will not have to remain a vampire forever. And as the hunger threatens to overwhelm her, it may be too late for her to leave the darkness behind."

So much for the blurb. It sounded quite interesting but it wasn't. Eternal Hunger is the third book of the Candace Steele trilogy but you don't have to read the first 2 books to understand or get into the story. It is very simple and until page 300 (or so) there is not much happening. Candace is nearly dying but Ash is making her a vampire - nearly (she must feed on human blood to become truly a vampire and the hole book she's feeding on Ash to survive her bloodlust). Together again there seems to be not much more to do than having sex - and it really gets boring soon (it got on my nerves from the second time on...). After a few pages of "passionate love scenes" *yawn* the story begins to unfold. Ash has something to do with the Board, an ancient vampire sect who wants to be immortal (huh?), they've already 2 of 3 powerful items, the third is in possession of Candace, there is a quick showdown and the 311 pages are over. If you read this book and you only still read it to know how it will end here's the answer (*mark to read* attention, extreme spoiler): Ash sacrifices himself in the ritual and Candace becomes human again
