Thank you so much for this book! I usually prefer reading books in their original language(if I can read that language, that is) but as I've already read this one in its original language (which happens to be my mother tongue) I'm very curious about how the translation is going to be...:)

This was an amusing story, with the main character getting into some very strange situations. By the time the war games came about and the evacuation it almost seemed reasonable, due to being lead by the author to accept the strange. The summary of activities when the Vatanen was in Russia highlighted this further.
I found the last part of the book fragmented, and decided that Vatanen was actually extremely self centred.
Recommended read.

Left on the bookshelf in the cafe area, just before I went to see a Swedish film in the film festival.
If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it.
