A very good book, sad and funny in equal parts and very very clever. Mia’s husband, Boris, asks for a “pause” so he can have an affair with a young colleague. This puts Mia in hospital with a Brief Psychotic Disorder. After her brief stay in hospital she goes to spend her summer without men in the town she was born in. Time with her mother and her friends and a young neighbour and children. Very good.
I bought this book at a secondhand bookshop in 2019, probably London, but not sure. I didn't see the book crossing label until I lent it to someone else to read. So shall be giving it away soon.
