My thoughts on the book;

Not read by me, but this was either bought as part of a bulk-buy "10 for £1" offer at a "withdrawn" books sale at Chelmsford Library, or as part of a bulk-buy "two books for 50p" charity shop deal, or left at our staff canteen along with other books people had finished with; or has been "donated" to the BookCrossing cause (or "your Book Travelling-thingy", as he calls it) by my dear Father.

The attached journal image should give you an idea which one of those sources this book came from. ;-)

Below review / text taken from; ;

"'Buy my stepfather's ghost' read the e-mail. So Jude did. He bought it, in the shape of the dead man's suit, delivered in a heart-shaped box, because he wanted it: because his fans ate up that kind of story. It was perfect for his collection: the genuine skulls and the bones, the real honest-to-God snuff movie, the occult books and all the rest of the paraphanalia that goes along with his kind of hard/goth rock.

But the rest of his collection doesn't make the house feel cold. The bones don't make the dogs bark; the movie doesn't make Jude feel as if he's being watched. And none of the artefacts bring a vengeful old ghost with black scribbles over his eyes out of the shadows to chase Jude out of his home, and make him run for his life . . .

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I'll be leaving this on the leaflet stand that is now between Holland and Barret and the comic shop, within the High Chelmer Shopping Centre.

Failing that, I'll leave it on one of the circular sets of seats within the High Chelmer Shopping Centre. I'll aim to leave it on the first free seat I see as I go through the Centre, exiting at the doors adjacent to the Boots store.

The exact location of the Centre and a view of one of the entrances can be found at this Google Maps link for the location;

It'll have a yellow "PICK ME UP" note stuck on its front, featuring an all new random free gift, and be in a clear plastic bag.

EXCELLENT book, absolutely fantasic. Very scary, well written and reminded me a little of Stephen King. I think this one may be a keeper for a while.

Hey, didn't I say this reminded me of Stephen King? I just found out Joe Hill is his son :)
