Entertaining novel about an Englishman and a Frenchman (based on Alexis de Tocqueville) who travel to America in the mid-19th century - and can't stand each other, initially...
Shortlisted for the 2010 Booker Prize.
Wanted to pass it on to oppem, who had it on her wishlist. She sadly passed away recently.
In oppem's memory it will travel to saskiasosmile now.
