The story of Bertie and his dysfunctional family continues in this sixth instalment alongside the familiar cast of favourites - Big Lou, Domenica, Angus Lordie, Cyril and others - in their daily pursuit of a little happiness.
Another good book in the series. Matthew & Elspeth get a surprise and Bertie gets a break from his Mum.

An enjoyable read again, I really like this series! Bertie stays my favourite, but I have learned to like the other characters as well. I'm glad there's a hint in the preface, that there will be some new parts to follow the lives of these people in Edinburgh...

Thank you! I do enjoy this series, like all his books they make me smile. I will add this to the book mountain and get to it as soon as I can.
Another enjoyable installment in the lives of the people of Scotland St. You just can't help liking Bertie and wish that he could have more fun in his life, looking forwardto the next book to find out.
