The story of Bertie and his dysfunctional family continues in this sixth instalment alongside the familiar cast of favourites - Big Lou, Domenica, Angus Lordie, Cyril and others - in their daily pursuit of a little happiness.

Another good book in the series. Matthew & Elspeth get a surprise and Bertie gets a break from his Mum.
Going to lukutuoli who has it on her wishlist. Enjoy.

Thanks for this RABCK again, Reetpetite, this wasn't the first book by McCall Smith I've received from you! Your postcard will take place as a bookmark with this book :)
I read the previous part of this series recently, can't wait to read this one soon...!

An enjoyable read again, I really like this series! Bertie stays my favourite, but I have learned to like the other characters as well. I'm glad there's a hint in the preface, that there will be some new parts to follow the lives of these people in Edinburgh...

Next to Releanna.

At last I have read this book. I am trying to read the books in this series in the right order. Sometimes it takes a while to find a missing title.
A light read, enjoyable.
