Love the look of all your labels! Very nicely done!

Hello there,
So, I've created some labels. They fit a standard US Letter 8.5inx11in piece of paper. I have UPS labels that are that dimension. They are 4 to a page. It's a PDF file and if you have the free Acrobat Reader, you can use it to fill it out before printing. They're nothing fancy but I was looking for a way to get people to read the print and, hopefully, follow directions. My vision is for the labels to go on the inside of the cover with the top folded over. The bottom square can be cut off and stuck on a baggie or the back of the book. Tell me what you think. I've not used them yet but will do so as soon as I finish reading my current book!
Here's the link to the labels:

I love the look!!! Printing some off to use now! Thanks for sharing with all of us!!!

Ohh I like these!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I added a couple more and updated info on all the pdfs

Thanks for letting me know! I enjoy using your outside labels!!!

Thank you!! :)

I love them!

I keep looking but I haven't found any yet...

Even a "free book" sticker in those languages would help.

When I have a book that's not in English, I try to label it in English *and* that language...if I can figure out what it is. :)

Formatted for US letter size, 3x10 to a sheet; if you have a full-sheet A4 label you should be able to use them too.

Nice, thanks!

Also...
Not new, but here are the Google Drive links for some of my labels (might be easier than the 4shared links): these are 10 to a letter-sized sheet.

Put some of my older labels on the Google drive for anyone who's interested: the audiobook bands are modified versions of grubsneerg's book bands (http://grubsneerg.blogspot.com)

I added some new labels. The link again:

I was playing around and trying to update the info on the word documents, but for some reason it was skewing up the format. I tested on 2 different browsers and they looked wrong so I deleted the word documents and left only the pdf. If anyone wants the word document pm with an email address and I'll be happy to email it to you.... I like that you can change the color on the borders :)

Anyway, enjoy!

Have 100's of books to register and just went through your labels again and found some I haven't seen before! Thanks again for sharing!!!! I appreciate it!

But it's archived here: https://web.archive.org/---/http
I would recommend downloading and saving any labels that you might want to use later, in case the site doesn't come back.

My computer died during a Windows update and after $120 to fix it, I've finally got it working, but I lost one (and only one I think) label that I used a lot.

I don't know who designed it originally so I don't know where to find it again. Is it familiar to anyone? Can you direct me to where to find the page of these labels again? I put a couple of examples in the JEs. If you click on them, they'll enlarge so you can see them better. Thanks very much.

Here's a re-created version... it's not the sharpest but should print out usable. The link will download a .pdf file in US letter size. See if that works for you!

Here's the image that I grabbed from Pinterest:

Thank you so much, Moem. I thought that was the image I had lost when Delphi_Reader posted it, but it is not. It's much bigger since it only makes 2 columns on the page. The one I had must have been 3 or maybe 4 columns to a page. I'm guessing it was *about* 2 inches across.

I've done a search but can't find one that size. So was hoping someone would recognize it and remember who designed it. (I can't design one myself.)

Thanks.

Do you know what size they are? On the book cover they don't look as big as the ones on the link Moem posted...

:) I'd be willing to try to recreate...

Do you know what size they are?

I'll try to figure that out and post here later. And thank you!

Try these: takemehomelabel2 (Folder is syncing so will take a minute-sorry)

here is the link to the onedrive: (same as before)
https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArMOKv5Eo0uNmDGG8LeXSKA7Z9WM

These are 1 in x2 5/8 (avery product 5979) or same as the Passitonlabels on the onedrive

You can print on plain paper to see if they will work for you... let me know

Thank you very much. I'll use those. I appreciate it.

Is it okay if I also print a couple others you had there as well. I'm not creative and can't make my own labels, but appreciate the ones others create. Thanks.

Please, help yourself to any you want. If you decide you want to change something (wording) pm me with an email addy and I'll send you the word document.

Thank you!

but I think those are quite good.
Thank you josierivers!
When I first joined BC I was printing many including these to label by BC books... Google and of course links posted in this thread were great help.

I use both, a mix of bookplates and Econo-labels from the Supply Store and pre-numbered labels I print myself. And a mix of stickers from the Supply Store and ones I print myself (that others more creative than I have designed).

And a Supply Store Tiny Sticker on EVERY spine. Covered in clear packing tape of course, since they tend to pop off otherwise. : )

Oh I know! As far as I'm aware we're on our third supplier and while they have gotten better, they still do that. I think it's just a too small surface to hold enough glue to keep them in place... and of course the spines on paperbacks bend a lot. I use packing tape myself, on shiny books it looks quite nice, really makes the sticker a part of the cover.
If the tinies were paper again, like they used to be, they might stick/bend better but they would not otherwise be so durable. It's a bit of a dilemma.

... sorry, the Store manager side of me ran away with me for a moment...

I found this website that offers "aggressive white matte" label paper... they have small size labels like the spine ones... It's described as "super sticky version of their standard white matte material. Offers an aggressive permanent adhesive capable of adhering to tricky surfaces"

I ordered a couple of sample sheets and they seem to stick well... will put them to the test. Unfortunately when I went to print it threw it into PDF so they printed off kilter. Dang! The company also does custom printing. Haven't check the price though.

Since they're in the US, the shipping costs would probably be a problem... but if you can send me the web address, I can check them out. Thanks!

They also have a UK site... but I don't see the same size labels or the aggressive matte type. However, I must admit, the measurements are in mm and the paper size seemed to be all A4 so it did throw me off :) LOL silly American that I am. I'll pm you the web link.

I LOVE those small spine stickers!! I use clear tape on all the outside stickers too :) harder for people to pull off.

I use a mix too: I like the variety. :)

My favorite stickers from the store, but they definitely do need to be taped on. I think I'd use them more often if it weren't for that: it's an extra step and sometimes I'm too lazy. :p

Glad to hear you got your computer fixed - that's such a headache!

Based on this thread - http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/12940/ - I'm guessing these are the labels by lythe/saffista mentioned by N8an

The ones josierivers did are very nice (I'll use them too - thank you josierivers!), but in case you want the original, I've put the file here: https://tinyurl.com/y7zepkdz (hopefully saffista/lythe - is that the same person? - doesn't mind)

These are the same 1" x 2-5/8" size that prints 30 per 8-1/2" x 11" sheet.

Thank you.

True, not sure about how pinterest works. I am a bit useless on IT, so what I do is google the related picture, save it on my desk top, then print directly, or enter the picture on a Microsoft Word document or similar and adjust the dimensions before printing. I am sure that there are much more suitable programms/apps to use and process a file or photo, but it's a naive way that works for me lol

Can you explain what you mean by “Google the related picture?”

I’d be happy to try it your way. Thanks!

Then pick one related, say https://tinyurl.com/yc3tzndh .

..with help from a non-BookCrossing friend. Added them to my google drive: feel free to use any of those labels or bookmarks. :)

So it is - it didn't even register...I just checked to see that I had previously saved the file and didn't actually look at it. There have been a lot of good labels created over the years and it's always nice to find them. :)

Thank you, some very nice stuff there.

This is one of my favorte labels and one I used a lot on my first months on BC
