What were your best books for September?

I'll report on mine once I've had a chance to update their online journals.

The one that really stands out is Glass Houses by Louise Penny, the 13th Armand Gamache mystery
I also particularly enjoyed:
The Fraud by Barbara Ewing
The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson
(the above 3 on the Kindle)
and The Importance of Being Kennedy by Laurie Graham
(from the library)

Superb! I had the sequel, A Column of Fire, for my birthday. I'm expecting it to be among my best books for October!

"Come to Me" by Amy Bloom is a collection of her short stories that I gave 8 stars:

"Love on Trial" by Kris Perry and Sandy Stier is their memoir, and I absolutely devoured it and gave it 10 stars:

Wilkie Collins: The Moonstone

Daniel Kahneman: Thinking, Fast and Slow (non-fiction)

Mine include a couple of YA novels:

Will Grayson, Will Grayson ( )

Singing the Dogstar Blues ( )

Graphic novels:

Me and the Devil Blues ( )

Blankets ( )

And a twisty little mystery with a local setting:

The Escher Twist ( )

Both very different but very good!
