It's the Kensington International Day of the Book street fair in Kensington, Maryland, USA, on Sunday, April 28, 2019, from 11am to 4pm, This festival is free with free street parking. The most exciting booth of all is (of course) the Bookcrossing booth...in which BCinDC, my local BookCrossing group, plans to give away over 1,000 Bookcrossing-registered books.

Any Bookcrosser is free to join us in the booth that day as well as to drop off or take home some BC-registered books. If anyone has BC-registered books they would like me to give away at this festival, just PM me for my mailing address, and I'll be sure to share your books.

We've been doing this festival for over 10 years now and it's always fun. If you have any questions about it, please free to drop me a PM.

I was hoping to collect 1,500 books this year, but we did make it to over 1,100 books collected which was great. I think we had about 200 books left over so we probably gave away about 900 books. Thank you for such a wonderful effort to find books to release.

Got the boxes today. I just checked them all in. There were two nonfiction CD sets that were unregistered. I'll register them, saying I got them from you. I'll pre-release the others to Kensington between tonight and tomorrow.

I have a friend who loves to get CD sets for her travels back and forth between New Hampshire and Maryland. May I give her those CDs, or would you rather I took them to Kensington to the festival? For sure she won't journal enter them, though! Either way is good with me. Let me know,

I've already pre-relased the two sets of CDs you sent, and I'll be giving them to my friend from New Hampshire when she comes down to Maryland later this month, She'll be so surprised and happy.

Cool! I'll pass them along to my traveling friend...who refuses to journal any of my books , but she DOES donate tons of gently used children's books to me from a recycling center every month...so your CDs will go to a very good BookCrossing cause! :D

All of those books (as of this minute) are now checked in by me and released to the book festival. I made a mistake in my journal entries, saying I "graciously" accepted the books when I meant to say "gratefully" accepted the books. I don't have time now to go back and correct 44 journal entries, but you know what I mean. :D Thank you!

Both of the boxes arrived yesterday. I just haven't had a chance to journal them yet. I'll get to it soon. Thank you!

A few that I could purge from the various shelves -- hoping to come up with some more once my final paper for class is completed.

3 more books registered and pre-released. I am having trouble registering books with the ISBN search function. I have only been able to register 3 out of 9 books that I tried to register today. I keep getting the message "not found in our database".

Try using the title instead of the ISBN. That seems to work better for me recently. If not, you can always click on Skip Search and enter the info by hand.

I always correct the ISBN and cover image if they don't agree, but more often than not find the correct title and author if I search by title.
