we all know what drinks are - anything from water to hard alcohol - so I won't make a long list of drinks. yes, embedded words are acceptable. release as many books that fit this category and list them of course :-). Looking forward to getting a new challenge started. it's been too long.
okay since this starts tomorrow thought i would add all the suggestions for acceptable entries.
any kind of release Pictures on the cover of drinks authors names as well as in the titles .perhaps phrases and/or words related to drinking - be creative it's all good and it's all fun
Sending these as a surprise RABCK for another BCer's LFL. ; ) Not being one who drinks, I had to research this a bit, but a beer and a shot of whiskey are aka "a shot & a beer", aka a "boilermaker". Many know a beer HEAD is the frothy foam on top of a beer, and JACK is short for Jack Daniels Whiskey. Thought I'd share this info because it seems as though some terms to use for releases may be "hiding" in there. ; )
2. bLUSH of Winter Moon ( http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/14575849 ), wild release, multiple challenges, photo. (OK, "lush" is a bit of a stretch, but it does mean "one who drinks to excess" - let me know if it doesn't count!)
I'm actually not certain if the drink they are mixing up in the upper right corner of the KIWI book cover to serve at the science fiction and fantasy convention is non-alcoholic, or one of the dozens of varieties of Kiwi Cocktails that can be created, but it paired well with the MARTINI below, that I wanted to leave at the olive bar a local supermarket, but thought the mystery loving BCer who will be receiving it would really enjoy. ; )
I read this today and was vastly amused - and a bit squicked, but mostly amused. I'd heard of this infamous drink in the past, but hadn't expected to see it in the news. For me the funniest parts of the article have to do with the bar staff's rather casual comments about their "backup toes" and how they obtain and preserve them.
Now to try and find a book with "sourtoe" in the title!
10. Now and Then (Spenser) by Robert B. Parker...Cover pic shows two glasses of Sparkling Cider...or perhaps...Champagne...for a TOAST to the end of your "Welcome Home" Release Challenge, zbird!!! ; ) https://www.bookcrossing.com/---/8954593
