This one was hosted by our BC Friend, zbird. She has been very ill for a very long time, but SHE'S BACK...and I've inquired about the "Clean start for the New Year" Challenge she started last year!!! : ) http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/8853294
I didn't think I'd like doing these challenges (too much work!), but, once I set my mind to picking a favorite one each month during this past year, I've found them to be so much fun. They also help "randomize" the books that I release.
Thanks to the individual Bookcrossers who host these monthly challenges. Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy 2017.
P.S. I appreciate a heads up on the monthly challenges as that gives me time to collect suitable books.
Since the lunar new year falls at various times during January & February (this year it's late in January), I was thinking of a challenge covering the first two months of the year. 2017 will be the year of the Rooster in the Asian zodiac, so it would be based around that, although I haven't worked out specifics yet. Does that sound feasible?

Well... unless you'll work out the specifics, people can't decide if they really like it, can they?
Don't count on me anyway. I enjoy some of the monthly challenges, but I've really become picky about themes and little details in the rules, and the NJABBIC challenge is enough to keep me going - I don't really "need" additional challenges.

I find that the challenges I like most are the ones that stand alone each month and have some fun kind of twist to them. I am especially enjoying this December's What's in a Name challenge. I look forward to seeing the options for 2017. The sooner the challenges are posted, the sooner, I'll choose the ones I want to do. It won't be more than one challenge per month most likely, though.
Not me, but I learned that my standards are not shared by the majority of the challenge forum residents. So the same facts that make me close the window before even having read all of the description, may make it attractive to others.
I'll see what I have. I release for multiple challenges in a month - actually have different boxes and sort the books early in the year according to what's when. The YA daughter can't move back - her bedroom is now available-central :-)
