This bookbox will be a mix of everything not from our reality: science fiction, fantasy and horror. Anything that has elements from a different world will fit in here. This round will be a shrinking box, as I will likely be moving this year, and need to weed out some books! Please take 2-3 more books than you add. So if you add 5 books, take 8. If you add 10 books, take 12.
I will need at least five participants to join the box in order to run it. It will probably be a large box, around 25 books. I will hope to start it traveling at the end of February, so people at the beginning of the list will have about a month to collect books.
To join, just post with any shipping preferences (end of list, etc.) and I'll add your name to the list. This box is US only.
Bookbox rules: *When you get the box please post here so we can track its progress. *Journal all books you take out of the box, and take two more than you added. *Make sure the books you add have the BCID in them. It seems obvious, but I have had times when folks forgot and I had to try and track them down. *Books do not have to be the first in a series, but before adding take into consideration how they will read as a stand-alone. If the future reader is going to be completely lost, particularly if the series isn't easily found, please consider finding it a home another way. *Please pass the box on within 2 weeks. If something comes up and you are going to have to hold onto the box a little longer, let me know so we don't have to worry it got lost. *Feel free to ship the box by the cheapest, slowest postage option.

Sorry for the delay everyone, it seemed like every time I had it nearly ready we had a snow storm or car troubles. It is headed out now, with the tracking number 9114 9014 9645 1609 3779 83. The starting set of books is heavy on the mass market paperbacks, so until it has shrunk a little, fitting in big hardcovers might take some extra-careful rearranging.
Will edit this after I've had a chance to look through them. Haven't even opened the box yet!
Edited to add update.
Taking out: The Book of Air The Book of Fire The Book of Water The Book of Earth The House of Gaian Borderlands Fellside Redder Than Blood Penny Dreadfuls A Tale of Two Vampires Celebrity Vampires Best American Sci-Fi & Fantasy

Removed 12, added 12 ... and yes, I do realize that this is a "shrinking" bookbox but it just didn't seem fair for me to take more than I give when there are still so many more people this box will be visiting. List of books in my post above.
at least I can now close the box. I selected 6 books and put 5 books back in.
I selected: Dust by Elizabeth Bear The Vampire Agent by Patricia Rosemoor & Marc Paoletti All Systems Red by Martha Wells The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer edited by Joyce Reardon, PHD Sign of the Anaszi by Marc Lieberman Singing Fire by T.L Martin
I hope to get this into the mail stream today. Enjoy!!!
I was vastly amused to see, on the tracking-info page, the fact that the box started out in Virginia and got to me via Los Angeles and San Francisco! A complete cross-country trip and back, instead of just ambling up the coast...
Ah, well, it got here anyway, and still has plenty of books. Will make my choices, even if I have to struggle a bit to obey the "shrink" rule, and get the box moving again soon. (Looks like it started with 30 books, and currently has 27.)
I sent the box to AlterEgoZoe today, tracking info 9549012103468124151408, estimated arrival May 9. There’s a good mix of fantasy, SF, horror, and “other”, with some youth-friendly books and some that are… pretty extreme! My choices below - stop reading if you’d rather be surprised: . . . .
The Wild Ways by Tanya Huff Nine Gates by Jane Lindskold Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley Werewolf Cop by Andrew Klavan The Apex of World SF edited by Lavie Tidhar The Belles byDhonielle Clayton Anita Blake Vampire Hunter: The First Death by Laurel K. Hamilton
Dead to the World by Charmaine Harris Valiant by Holly Black Grendel by John Gardner Pump Six and Other Stories by Paola Bagigalupi The Happiness Code by Amy Herrick The Ninth Configuration by William Peter Blatty
I took 7 books and added 6... helping with the “shrinkage”.

I'm not helping with the shrinking aspect as I have includedone book more than what I took out
Oh good, I had sent her a polite prod about a month ago with no response. But I know how life can get in the way of bookcrossing sometimes, and hadn't seen her being active here at the time. Good luck with your move.
I reached out to emmejo last week as I uncovered the box of books. I thought it had been mailed on in August during my oldest son's last week of band camp. I found it with the other books that are to be donated to the library. Our lives had completed been marching band until a week ago. (I was totally ignoring the bookcrossing emails as I didn't think I had anything pending!)
I will be journaling the books this week. emmejo asked that I keep the books due to the pending move. The call center staff at my office is working a ton right now with the holidays (retail and ecommerce). As they can't leave their desks, they often have books with them for down time. I started taking other books in a few weeks ago. A few of these will most likely make that pile.
Again, I'm so SORRY! It's not like me to slack on these things. High school this second time around is a killer!
