resistance is futile - you're in :-)

How it works:
**Please PM me if you want to join**
This ring is for Europe only.

I will send two books where the title contains items such as Space, Universe, Sun, Moon, Star, Planet, Alien, Rocket, Astronaut, Astroid, Meteorite,, Cosmos, Black Hole, etc., to the first person on the list. That person takes one of those books and replaces that book with another book with such an item in the title. Then that person will send those two books to the next person on the list and so on. Please tell on this thread only which book you took out.
The books are a surprise. Do not tell what book you are sending.

Who is in?

bookfrogster
3vie
Winterbirth
greenbadger -
PrincessRainbow
Icila
Bookworm-lady
mysteriousmummy
Yorkshire-lass - books are here
Plum-crazy
dolph1n

and back to me Tanamo

Two questions:

I have a book where the name of a planet is part of one of the words making up the title, not the whole word, would that still count? (If not, I'll look for something else.)

Also, I'm a bit nervous about joining another ring after the awful mess the post office made of delivering the animal bookring, even though it wasn't my fault. I'd totally understand if you'd rather I sit this one out?

If you mean something like Saturnalia for instance then I think I would accept that as the whole planet name is part of the word. If you're not sure pm me with the book title and I'll reply that way. As to not letting you join in - I wouldn't be that mean - you are not responsible for the actions of postal companies and if you give up your hobby because of one rogue postie then they have won. The graph of life and bookcrossing has it blips. Just put it behind you and move on.

Can I be in but only send within UK?

You're in Viv. I'm sure I can sort out a UK partner because, if all else fails, I could put you at the end of the list so you send back to me.

Pm on the way!

Got your message and you're in.

...sure I can find something to fit :o)

Thanks for the pm

I am just deciding which book to take out before I post here and will then get this one moving on.

I picked "The Last Book in the Universe" and have chosen a book to replace it. I've PMed 3vie for their address so this should be moving again very soon.

So it should get there soon.

I already know what book I’m going to choose, just need decide on a replacement

The Astronauts gave Landed/the space time juggler which is two stories in one 👍package will be travelling again tomorrow

I am taking Chasing the Moon by A. Lee Martinez. Will send to greenbadger soon.

Sent today

I've chosen Ghost Moon by Ron Butlin.

The books are now on their way to PrincessRainbow.

Thank you for sending it to me. I have to read the book that I will put in as exchange. Then I will send the Ring on.

I take the book "Howling at the Moon".

12.12.2017: The ring is on the way to Icila.

Thank you PrincessRainbow.

John Saturnall's Feast by Lawrence Norfolk (added by greenbadger).
The enveloppe will travel again soon.

Edit 21/12/17 : in the mail to Spain.

I've pm'd Bookworm-lady and she hasn't received the books. Christmas mail is often slow especially when bad weather complicates things so I'll give it some more time and hope they turn up. Icila, if you have proof of posting, maybe you can get the parcel tracked???

I'm now worrying. I'm used to sending a lot of books internationally and usually they arrive within 2 weeks at the most even to US or NZ for example. No proof of posting.

Looks like they've gone astray now and I cannot restart the ring because I don't have two suitable books. Apologies to all who have missed out.

I will check to see if I can find 2 suitable books. Not sure.

The first 2 books were returned, I don't know why, the address is correct and I received them back this morning.
I'll keep mine and the other one which is:
Seven of Nine (Star Trek: Voyager) by Christie Golden http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/4856348/

I am really sorry that they got lost on their way to me... :(

One of them is still TBR though. Give me some time, I'm a fast reader.

That's very kind of you. Please don't rush yourself. It's not your fault the mail service failed. However, I think it does pay to get proof of posting. I always do that.

Not for us in France, we have a very, very, cheap rate for mailing books Internationally (only).

Thanks, Icila, for keeping this project going...
I think I know which book I will keep... now off to find a replacement! :)

I am keeping "The Devil's Star"
http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/13199157/

"The other book" and my replacement will soon be on their way to Mysteriousmummy, I have just PMed her for her address.

What a brilliant idea! Thank you, Tanamo, for setting this up, and Icila for getting it going! :)

...to Mysteriousmummy; I hope she'll find something she likes in my parcel.

I just need to find a suitable replacement

I have to finish readind the book I want to send, I hope to be able to send them on their way again by the start of next week.

3vie posted this ring to me ages ago and sent them on to greenbadger. But i now seem to be at the bottom of the list and have received a pm from Yorkshire-lass for my address. Just wondering what is happening.

I don't know how that happened but I've put you back in the right place so just pm Yorkshire-lass and tell her this and that she needs to send the ring on to plum-crazy.

I will post on to Plum-crazy :-)

I have taken out The Long Earth by Terry Pratchett & Stephen Baxter.

....& on its way again :o)

I've taken out "The JUPITER Myth" by Lindsey Davis
