Complete Thread
After checking interest in VBB's especially for 1001-books, there seems to be enough interest to start two seperate threads.
This thread is for 1001-listed books. You don't have to be a member of the 1001-library to join.

We have participants form the US and China, therefor It is an intl. VBB.

Starting date: second half of October, maybe even the beginning of November.

How it works?
- The initial list of books is posted in the first post under this original thread. It goes to the first participant.
- After deliberation time (about a week, unless you give me a heads up that you need more time) you are expected to post here which book(s) you took out and what book(s) you replace them with. The number you take out must always be at least the number you put in, if you put in more, that's okay too. After all this is not a shrinking bookbox.
- You contact the person who currently holds the book you'd like to read, providing them with you address.
- Send me PM with the books you take out and the ones you put in. Please provide a link to the book (like I post them in the thread, that makes it easier to adjust the list of books).
- Enjoy reading your new book(s)!

No problem!
Thank you so much for joining :-)

I'd be very happy to join both :) and as I have a small ton of availables, I will be sending you a few more seeds one of these evenings

Soffitta1 also signed up. Thanks for joining both!

I'd love to join! I'm in the middle of moving, but I should have my books unpacked by the time it's my turn :)

I've added you. Thanks for joining! If I remember correctly, you are a library member. Do you want to join this one for non-library books?

I have a box of books that I would like to circulate. Thanks for organizing this.

I'd love to join, if this VBB is still open. I can add a couple of seed books too. I'll send you a PM once I go through my shelves.

Thank you both so much for joining!!

which I originally wanted to send to you, since I remember you love to read 1001-books, but you already read it and gave it five stars. So what better than to put it in a 1001-VBB?

Of course! You're added. Thanks for joining!

And dutch-book I've put on the list (somehow I seem to have skipped that when reacting to the forum post).

Sooo... we're ready to go!

I will get the list out to Tizzalicious in a while :-)

I noticed it as well.
I will enter them as a post in the right thread.

I am adding the following book to the VBB:

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein, http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/5872874/

Sorry about the incorrect post that you guys so kindly corrected. I deleted it.

I am taking any books out of the vbb as I have realized anew how many 1001-listed TBR books that I have. I have decided to work on reading at least one 1001-listed book continuously starting now. Perhaps I will have another to donate if there are further rounds of this vbb.

Thank you, I will add your donation to the list.

I plan to do this VBB with listed books more often (hence the mention of month and number). Will get back to the group on that later.

Love the 1001 list(s)!

I've added you. Thanks a lot for joining!

I sent a PM, for the book they wanted to put in this VBB was a library book and therefor belongs in the other VBB.

Untill I get a 1001-listed book as a replacement of the chosen one, the list will not move on.
Unless HDeaton27 requests to be skipped.

Will keep you posted.

No reaction yet from HDeaton27. Will try again today.

and is now with blackwidow1971.

in this VBB.
A little hick up along the way, combined with personal issues (life getting in the way of things I like to do), stopped the book box for a while.

/But... we're on the road again :-)

Taking:

"Cheese"
"City Sister Silver"

Putting in:
"Flaubert's Parrot" by Julian Barnes
"White Teeth" by Zadie Smith.
Links to follow.

Mt. TBR screams "What about me?" so I sigh, refrain and have to pass.
I'd like to add a book, though, American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis, which I'll start as my first book of 2017.
Thank you!

My choice
I would like to receive "Flaubert’s Parrot" – Julian Barnes (blackwidow1971)

And I will replace it with
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck: http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/12666095/ (CathrineB)

And is now on its way to soffitta1 for a second try.
I did not take anything out, I only put one in: The Complete Fables by Aesop.

to the last participant in this round: BaiLong.

I sent you my choice! Thanks!

Some of you have already expressed interest in taking part in a new round for this VBB.
Since my brain can't store all information that is coming to me through various channels, I would be very helped if you react to this thread in case you would like to take part in round #2. Since soffitta1 was the last in the row of participants, I do remember her 'I'd like to take part again next round' and I've added her to that list.

Estimated time of departure I guess September, October. (After summer holidays, and after having given all of us a decent period to 1001-listed books read... Any suggestions on this are welcome!

I'm in! Post summer holidays sound great!

Yes, I'd like to join again.

I'm definitely interested in a second round, and a September/October time frame sounds good to me. Thanks for all your work in organizing this!

I would be interested in a second round :)
