Traveling but still open: Stephen King's The Stand (graphic novel)
A deadly flu-like disease escapes from a secret government facility and quickly wipes out over 99% of the population. The survivors find themselves drawn to one of two leaders: the Dark Man, sometimes known as Randall Flagg, and the centenarian Mother Abigail. The two have radically different philosophies, and conflict is inevitable.
I'm offering this as a US bookray. The volumes are nice glossy pages and quite heavy: all together they weigh over 4#, so they're best sent by media mail. Since it *is* six volumes, I figure 2 months per person is a reasonable time frame.

Volume 6: The Night Has Come - http://www.bookcrossing.com/---/12061942
NOTE: I'm not opposed to this going out of the country, but someone would have to be willing to send it internationally, and it's so heavy..
Current mailing order:

cinnycat (New York)
jare (Florida) <-- here!
Also, should there be a rule you must mail with delivery confirmation with media mail? Since it is six books? Maybe it will be less likely to be lost if there is tracking on it. But I'm not even sure if you can have delivery confirmation on media mail? Just an idea!
thanks so much for offering this!
oh okay, I'll definitely use delivery confirmation if I'm taking part in this
Well, having to use DC would be hyphen8's call. I just was saying I always use it. This is a great series though, at least Vol 1, which I have.
I'll put up rules & stuff eventually - at this point I'm just trolling for readers. But DC is definitely a good plan for this.
EDIT: trolling as in fishing. Not implying anything about readers (or even non-readers) of this thread. ;)
I hope more people join! I forgot to mention I can only mail in the US just in case you decide to let people join outside the US. But if not, I don't mind being last on the list. thanks again!
No worries, I think this one pretty heavy for mailing out of the country. Unless someone is traveling and willing to hand-deliver, it will probably stay within the US.
I tried to pace myself when reading these; part of me wanted to gobble them up, but I tend to find reading graphic novels more tiring than regular books (I think it's because they're so visual), and these are fairly intense. On the other hand, as the story builds, it's hard not to keep going..
