The first time Sherry applied finger paint to paper in kindergarten, she was hooked on creating color and form on canvas. Sherry progressed from oils in high school, to watercolors in college, and most recently, to Japanese brush painting. The elegant simplicity takes a lifetime to master; a challenge Sherry passionately accepts. As a charter member of the Taka Sumi-e Society, founded in 2002 by Japanese Brush Painting teacher, Takashi Ijichi, she has exhibited annually at Balboa Park in San Diego, CA. Sherry’s paintings are represented by Sunset Gallery in San Clemente, CA.
In addition to painting, Sherry is the author of A Lifetime of Cherished Memories: How to Preserve Your Family Legacy. She also owns a résumé writing and virtual office assistance business where she is privileged to meet fascinating people from many walks of life.
Sherry and her husband moved from the Midwest in 1996 to Southern California, where they treasure every single day of the soothing surf, warm sunshine, and mild temperatures.
