I know many towns around the country have book festivals around this time of year. Don't forget to take plenty of BC books because many community festivals have book swap tables.

Yes, I ruled out busses (which I ride daily) because the book could easily slide off the seat and onto the floor. I've has success with bus stops, though.

That's a good idea. I've had a success with an old text book thatI left when I went to visit my old school. I suggest that as the fall semester approaches we call our alma matters and ask if these texts are still useful…

I sometimes leave books in the free paper box at the bus stop, and I've had sucess. As a bus rider myself, I know that people get bored and are looking for something to read while riding the bus.

I've not had a success with these (yet!) but I've released several in areas where I think people might like some light reading, like the hospital and the free newspaper boxes near the bus stop.

You might also look for places like the YMCA, a PAL center or other places where you can find both children and computers. Many will accept donations of books.

Yes, I also love the improvements. In fact, I like having a "haven't read" option for the rating when you register. Some books I just couldn't get interested in enough to review them.
